Years of commitment in the Sahel
The Agence de Développement Nourriterre (ADN Nourriterre) was founded in April 1998 in Tahoua, Niger, by a group of 10 founding members including 2 women, all driven by the will to contribute to the sustainable development of rural and pastoral communities of the Sahel.
Officially recognised by Decree n° 0206/MI/AT/DAPJ/SA of the Ministry of Interior and Territorial Development dated 3 July 1998, the NGO has gradually extended its area of action from the Tahoua department to other zones of the region.
Today, after 28 years of uninterrupted commitment, ADN Nourriterre has 6 local offices (Abalak, Tchintabaraden, Tabalak, Tamaya, Azeye, Kaou) and over 1,200 registered members including 650 women, working across 12 thematic sectors in partnership with leading international organisations.
Our values
Communities are at the heart of all our interventions. We work with them, not for them.
We aim for equitable participation of women and vulnerable groups in all our programmes.
Every project is designed, monitored and evaluated against measurable change indicators.
We combine multiple sectors to address the multidimensional challenges of rural development.
Why ADN Nourriterre?
With 28 years of continuous presence in the Tahoua region, ADN Nourriterre combines deep local knowledge, a participatory approach and strong international partnerships to design and implement high-impact projects.
